I got my first new cookbook in awhile, and this recipe was the one that really stuck out to me. It was phenomenal. I would not say the fried chicken is better than Thomas Keller’s, but it is different and lends itself well to chicken and waffles. The spiciness from brining in buttermilk with serranos is not overpowering, but present and tasty.
