I got this cookbook for Christmas and am really happy with it so far. L’Artusi is our favorite Italian restaurant in NYC (high praise since there are tons of good ones), so I was pumped when I read the chefs were putting out a cookbook. This cookbook probably has the largest # of recipes I want to make of any cookbook I’ve gotten over the past few years (also high praise since I’m building quite the collection).
This is a really easy, simple dish the serve at L’Artusi as an antipasti, but it worked as a really good brinner for us.
|Dish||Roasted Mushrooms with Bacon and Eggs|
|Recipe Source||Downtown Italian Cookbook|
|Difficulty||2 / 10|
|Time to Complete||~45 minutes|
|Any Recipe Deviations?||I didn’t have lemon juice, so I used the acid from pickled peppers instead. That worked ok, but think it would be even better with the brightness from citrus.|
