The star of the Thanksgiving spread was unfortunately the biggest disappointment. For years, I have been dreaming of a delicious turducken. Who actually likes turkey that much? Nobody. Wrapped up with chicken, duck, and stuffing on the other hand? Sounds incredible.

Unfortunately, the Cajun Grocer where we bought this bad boy really let us down. The packaging, the website, the FAQ section, and the customer service woman I called all gave me different directions. I decided to cook it at 350 for 1 hour and 45 minutes covered and 15 minutes uncovered. As it turns out, I probably should have cooked this for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was so dry I could hardly eat it.

While this year was kind of a disaster, I have not given up on a turducken. I think next year we might just have to deep fry it instead…
