After making homemade chicken stock, I needed to make some soup. This was admittedly a pretty unique and interesting choice I made and I can’t say I was totally happy with it. The flavor is really tasty and it tastes a lot like what you would expect it to taste like. The soup is very light, however, so I was still pretty hungry afterwards. Next time, this will be served as an appetizer and/or I’m going to add some protein to it in some fashion.

Sides Served None – needed some; this was not substantial enough to be a stand-alone entree (which should have been obvious)

Lessons Learned Soup is rarely substantive enough for me to be a meal. This would be a pretty great side dish or appetizer
Any Recipe Deviations? Nope
Make Again? Yes, but would treat it as a side or an app. One thing to consider for next time is that it is (obviously) very garlicy and potent. My breath did not smell too amazing the next morning. This isn’t a big deal, but if you were going to serve this with other items, you would want to make sure the flavors complement one another. We had a Cabernet with this, and that was not the best pairing
Changes Next Time? I bet this would be pretty delicious if we threw some mushrooms in it
